Sharing The Wisdom of Wise Women!

Updated: Mar 5

As we celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, I will be raising my glass to solidarity, support and empowerment as I launch my new Ask Wise Women forum.

In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the unique challenges women face in navigating their health and wellness journeys. Whether its advice on managing menopause symptoms or knowing where to access relevant information and support, the need for specialised care tailored to women's needs has become increasingly evident.

One of the key lessons I have learnt over recent years is that the key pillar in addressing these challenges lies in the establishment of robust female networks; ones that serve as invaluable platforms for knowledge sharing, collaboration and advocacy, amplifying our voices and driving positive change.

At the heart of these networks lies a spirit of sisterhood – a collective commitment to building each other up and championing female wellbeing. Through shared experiences, mutual support and mentorship, we can build strength in unity, forging bonds that transcend professional boundaries.

Let’s look at transformative power of female networks in advancing women's health agendas. By bringing together those in the know, we can develop an interdisciplinary dialogue and holistic approaches to care.

Moreover, these networks play a pivotal role in destigmatising health issues; instead promoting open conversations, challenging societal taboos and highlighting awareness so we can reclaim ownership of our wellbeing.

In addition to fostering female networks within professional spheres and advocating for women's health, I have also recognised the need for a digital space where women can freely seek advice, share experiences and support each other. This led me to launch Ask Wise Women, an online forum that provides a place to connect, empower each other and access reliable information and guidance from experts in the field.

As a women-only employer, I recognise the unique challenges we face in balancing career aspirations with personal responsibilities. I firmly believe that implementing flexible work arrangements and professional development opportunities tailored to women's needs, we can cultivate a culture of empowerment and growth.

As we celebrate International Women's Day, let’s champion the importance of solidarity, support and empowerment in advancing women's health agendas. We can embrace the benefits of being women-only employers, creating inclusive workplaces where females thrive and flourish. I’ll leave the last word to Michelle Obama: “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”
